Short: Saudi electronics retailer eXtra “loves” Windows Phone

On my XDA-Developers run this morning, I was stopped by eXtra’s Android-skewed smartphone feature comparison chart (posted in the forums by user bmazloum). eXtra is an electronics retailer in Saudi Arabia analogous to Best Buy here. I… don’t even know what to say. Just look at it. Ouch.

If all of that is true then Microsoft better catch up!

  • IM0001

This is from around the time of the launch of WP7 last year.

  • Erick

    @IM0001

Since the launch the apps have gone from 1 000 to about 10K but it’s about that. NoDo should have had changed things for copy & paste, but carriers still need to test everything before this update can be installed on end-users phones. Other than that, nothing is different…

Why does Android and iPhone have twitter support via a third party app, but WP7 doesn’t? There are nearly 10 different twitter apps for WP7.
Also, Hubs are much more than folders.

As IM0001 pointed out, this is an old poster from the release of WP7, It didn’t launch with Twitter support/app.
      Thats all.

The point is, this ‘old poster’ is in this week’s/month’s flyer.

Microsoft will succeed when they deliver complete products. They’re delivering half-baked products right now.

  • someone

MS had most of these things in WM 6.5 but chose to abandon everything and deliver a half-baked OS. Consumer isn’t going to accept half-baked OS. WP7 ought to have been a superset of WM 6.5.

    • timiteh

You must be kidding right ?
Otherwises both the iPhone and the iPad would have been massive when they were first released.
Consumers will accept half-baked O.S as long as they make them look cool and fashion and have sleek O.S with nice and fast U.I. Otherwises Symbian would be the most successful Smartphone O.S as it is the one which has the more capabilities out of the box.

X-Box Live Integration through 3rd party app for iPhone and Android?? Really?? I’ve never heard of that. Does it really exist or is it complete bullsh**?

    • timiteh

I think that this is complete bullshit

  • NR

Add Symbian too..it will score better !!

    • timiteh

I fully agree. If the significant measure of an O.S success potential was features/capabilities then Symbian would be running circles around IOS and Android in terms of success.

      • Jon

        Yes, so true.
Symbian is so much better in features.

  • piaqt

Send this to Microsoft. Don’t know Joe Belfiore’s email, but here’s Steve Ballmer’s: steveb@microsoft.com

Hm well, i’d say 90% is not true… ofc it has no c&p (yet) but multitasking is present (not for external applications tough) ect ect

“NoDo should have had changed things for copy & paste, but carriers still need to test everything before this update can be installed on end-users phones. ”

COPY AND PASTE?!?!?!? WHAT IS THIS 1981?!?!?!!?!?!?

And what is Xbox integration anyways? That you can look at your “achievements” and message with Xbox friends? WOW!

They have Raptr for iPhone which I guess is “Xbox integration” but its a stupid category anyways.
