I want my paid-for (RED) gadgetry, damnit. Wait, I know -- I’ll sue. God bless America.

Simple solution, call your credit card company, tell them what happened (you paid, they didn’t deliver) and they can block the charge.

Maybe that’s the ultimate irony of the ultimate steal – it is they who have stolen from you!

Wow. That is funny. Gotta love those rare times that the web designer will miss something that simple.

I ordered the same product and I didn’t get any of the (red) but that’s not the problem I even paid for the DVD and I got the DVD after more than one month (and yes I was in California) and the surprise is I got the DVD in an envelop a regular letter envelop and there was another sticker for another name under mine, I tried to remove mine and see what is the old name and address but I couldn’t. Oh yeah Damn it! It’s funny how you order a Ubuntu FREE DVD everytime there is a new version and you get it in a week and it’s in a nice carton case (At least there is something printed on it) and you pay for Windows Vista SP1 (RED) and you get this. Shame!

can these be ripped from the install?

Typical made up Microsoft bashing to lure reader to this site. When you order this product (which I have) you are given a URL and allowed to go back for a limited time to download this file.

If you have a problem with that simply contact Microsoft with you order confirmation e-mail and they can help you with the download of this file. Working with Paul Thurrott has caused you to try to create headlines by creating false news about Microsoft in order to get page hits for your website. While I have enjoyed some of the articles/posts that you have published in the past, this will be the last time that I visit your site. You have become the me too site when it comes to Microsoft instead of doing a little research and using common sense.

If you look at the circled region in the photo, you will note I am not complaining about the download of Windows Vista but rather the extra (RED) goodies like the extra wallpaper, gadgets, etc. The download information you are given via email does not return you to this page, therefore I have permanently lost the ability to retrieve these bits. A note was sent to support, we’ll see if it gets fixed or not.

lol your way of writing is quite funny. Did you try the unofficial way? (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Leaked-Vista-RED-Wallpapers-Gadgets-Screensaver-Available-for-Download-83094.shtml)
