Tried this fix for XP SP3 clients and does not work for my RRAS Server behind NAT router.

the only way I could get a Windows XP SP2 and SP3 client to connect to a RRAS server using L2TP behind a NAT router was the use the Prohibit IpSec DWORD value 1 registry key.

Windows 7 I've had great success using a RRAS server behind NAT devices and also the Windows 7 client behind a NAT device without much problem.

Why they couldn't do this with XP is beyond me.

I simply can't use the RRAS server behind a NAT device for L2TP IPSec remote access Windows XP clients.

Windows 2008 bundle "Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol (SSTP)" for clients, but is not recomended for connecting point to point servers.

Great blog, by changing the regedit I could archive L2TP VPN connection between servers.
