CrunchGear, TechCrunch pollute blogosphere with fake Windows "7" shots

Long Zheng blogged today about some embarrassingly sloppy journalism on the part of popular sites TechCrunch and CrunchGear.

"... it is always in the best interest of most paid-per-impression writers to publish articles which get them eye-balls, ad impressions, and thus income ..." - Long Zheng

Although I wouldn't put it past some high visibility bloggers to post so carelessly for reasons Long subtly hinted at, I don't think that's the case here. I believe this is just a textbook example of viral incompetence.
